Mindfulness meditation has been extremely helpful to me on my journey as a student of A Course in Miracles. Through using various aspects of our experience as “objects” to focus on, we develop an inner capacity to pay attention which in turn helps us become better listeners to the Voice of Love within.
In this meditation (recorded live during my weekly class at Bank of America), we experience five different mindfulness practices all in one “five point” practice: Mindfulness of breathing, body awareness, listening, thought watching, and open awareness.
I’d love to hear about what you noticed during or after this practice. Leave a comment below!
Corinne this was absolutely wonderful. I have a very difficult time meditating, due to a very busy mind. This mindfulness meditation was very gentle and easy for me to stay focused. You are such a beautiful gift. Thank you very much for sharing.
Hi Gilda! I’m so happy this was helpful and thank you for such kind words. I have enjoyed this practice too for the reasons you mentioned. It’s very normal for the mind to want to jump everywhere, so with the changing “objects” in this practice it helps us stay focused. Much love to you!
5 point meditation calmed me down
Brilliant! Thank you, Corrine. I find that using the breathing and listening to outside sounds as anchors to pull me into the present moment a wonderful technique that truly works! Much Love, Paula
